Music festival next to the Champs-Elysees Avenue

Here is the program of the music festival in the district of the Champs Elysees for Sunday 21st of June 2009.

9.20 am: opening of the festival with hunting trumpet ringers
9.30 am: school orchestra with 22 pupils from the Armand Lanoux junior high school (brass wind, wood wind and latin drumming) 10h : 12 children instrumental music directed by Raphael Saint-Remy (music of the 20th et 21st centuries)
10.30 am: 20 violins directed by Catherine Martinez
11 am: Les Cahn’I school orchestra with brass band and drumming from Henri Cahn junior high school (classical music, film music and original music)
11.20 am: hunting trumpet ringers
11.30 am: The Batterie Fanfare de la musique de la Police Nationale (National Police music band) under the direction of the drum-major Christophe Lefevre, accompanied with 100 pupils of the Gaston Ramon de Garches school, proposes “Feezzy au village fanfare”, a tale imaginated and directed by Jean-Claude Decalonne and Marc Steckar
12.15 pm: A fanfare of 10 brasses directed by Jean-Bernard Beauchamp (Aïda of Verdi)
12.30 pm: wind band with 10 children diricted by Michel Hulot (ballad from the Renaissance until nowadays)
13 pm: 20 cellos band directed by Guillaume François, Pascale Jaupart and Marie-Blanche Solano (film music)
13.25 pm: hunting trumpet ringers
13.30 pm: A 10 brasses fanfare directed by Jean-Bernard Beauchamp (Aïda of Verdi)
13.45 pm: A 6 clarinets band directed by Remy Duplouy (Oblivion de Piazzolla).
14 pm: Dawar (world music)
14.30 pm: Key sets, 50 amateur choristers directed by Beatrice Abbo
15.10 pm: 4 classes of song directed by Sophie Herve (airs of Poulenc)
15.30 pm: Solano wind quintet (The four seasons portena d’Astor Piazzolla)
16 pm: Harmony orchestra of the police officers of the Police Department under the direction of Pierre Walter, accompanied by the orchestra of the Pierre de Ronsard junior high school from Tremblay-en-France
17 pm: Edouard Herriot junior high school orchestra (standards jazz)
17.30 pm: Camille Saint-Saëns adults choir directed by Anne Bodeux (Brahms and Schumann).
18 pm: Per Cantum choir accompanied by soloists of the National School of Music and Theater of Mantes and directed by Etienne Lestringant (works of Schubert and Schumann)
18.30 pm: Final Jam jazz band (arrangements of pop rock funk and standards jazz)
19 pm: string band with 15 musicians directed by Ginette and Jean Gaunet (from Lully to Tiersen)
19.30 pm: Bracass’Band (big band of lute musicians from rue de Rome) directed par Franck Delpeut
20.15 pm: Bic Band (funk)
21 pm: Puissance Jazz Big Band directed by Yves Abiteboul
22 pm: Nolan (funk) directed by Laurent Decalonne.

Ateliers Osez La musique (Dare the music workshops)
10.30 am, 1.30 pm, 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm: Osez La musique workshops, organized by the association “Orchestra at school” and proposed to anyone, young or old, that want to try a first experience in an orchestra. During 30 minutes, a musician teaches amateurs to create a sound, a note, a rhythm with the instrument they choose, and all these amateurs get together as an orchestra to accompany a singer.

12.30 pm, 1.30 pm, 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm : 4 musical and choreographic interventions from the 16th and the 17th century. 2 musicians and 2 dancers play the suspense between the Marquise de Sevigne and her cousin Bussy Rabutin, showing their rapprochements and disaffections through dances of Pecour or Feuillet selected from the Operas of Lully, Campra and Marais.
